After a few brief but acclaimed on stage roles in his early years, Ken had his head turned by the glamour of behind-the-scenes life. He loves the technical work of taking someone’s idea and bringing it to life on stage. He apprenticed with Festival Productions and Lyric Opera, building and installing sets, lighting and sound for productions at Irish and international theatre festivals. He then graduated to stage management, where his healthy vocal cords and diploma in Project Management really came into their own.

Dr. Ken (yeah, he’s also got a Phd) began working with Song and Dance over ten years ago, and he’s the go-to guy for solving most technical blips around the building. During showtimes, he can mostly be seen endlessly running to and from the stage with a slightly manic look on his face, but he says it’s all worth it to see the Song and Dance kids bouncing round the place, on a high after a successful performance.
