About Us

Song and Dance is a family-run business, started by Carol and Jimmy O’Byrne back in 1996 for their daughters because there was nothing else like it in the North Dublin area at the time. The very first class took place in the P.E. Hall of St.Mary’s Girls National School, with 21 children in attendance.

After almost 20 years renting practically every space in Baldoyle, Song and Dance Studios opened at 27 College Street in August 2014. All classes now take place in our custom-designed, child-friendly studios, which feature top of the range facilities, including industry-standard sprung floors to protect young bones and joints.

Our motto has always been “Come along and join the fun” and we have consistently stuck to that. We accept boys and girls of all abilities over the age of 3. All classes are delivered in a positive, energetic way and are exciting, fast-paced and most of all, fun!

Our team are Garda-vetted and trained in child protection. We have a high teacher to pupil ratio with approximately 5 teachers in each dance class. We’ll always have a trained First Aid Responder on the premises.

Our Values

Dignity and Respect

Each person is unique and extremely valuable. Song and Dance promises to treat everyone as such. We respect the property of others and expect respect for the property of the business and the business itself.

Each individual is trusted and expected to act in a trustworthy way. When trust is high, we can deal with change and mistakes. Trust is a two way responsibility.

Everyone is welcome at Song and Dance. We strive to create an atmosphere where every student feels safe to express their true self.

Everyone who works at Song and Dance or who attends classes at Song and Dance
will be treated fairly.

Song and Dance is committed to a sustainable future and to improve the social, economic and environmental well-being of the community. Through our actions we hope to inspire others to reduce energy usage and waste in order to create a cleaner, safer place to live and work. We aim to do this through the implementation of the highest standard of environmental practice resulting in an environmentally friendly organisation
