‘We’re all living longer, so we have all got to be more active in the third age.

‘Why ‘Silver Sashay’ you might ask?

Silver is because we have reached that age that we might have “silver threads through the gold” in our hair.

Sashay comes from a french dance term chassé meaning literally to chase. The Cambridge Dictionary defines Sashay as to walk confidently while moving your hips from side to side so as to attract attention “Maud sashayed into the bar and all conversation stopped”

Silver Sashay will resume on Thursdays at 12pm in January 2025.
